Introduction:
As one of Shanghai’s first seven pilot country parks, Shanghai Pujiang Country Park covers a total planned area of 15.29 km2, with 5.82 km² opened in its first phase. Positioned as a suburban forest-type country park, it focuses primarily on forest recreation and waterfront leisure. The first phase of the park is themed "Countryside, Art, and Autumn Scenery," and features five main areas: Vitality Forest Area, Miracle Garden Area, Willow & Egret Countryside Area, Forest Recreation Area, and Riverside Promenade Area. Together, they stage a living tapestry of “Forest, Flowers, Farmland, Riverbanks, and Water”. Since its public opening in 2017, the park has welcomed 18.36 million visitors nationwide, an annual average of about 1.6 million, making it the most popular country park in Shanghai. It is well-regarded by both locals and tourists. In recognition of its excellence, the park was officially designated a National AAAA Tourist Attraction in 2019. It was further recognized as a China Forest Experience Base in 2020 and a National Nature Education Base (School) in 2023, establishing a notable brand influence at the national level.
