Shanghai Langxia Country Park Scenic Area
Address : No. 9133, Caolang Highway, Jinshan District, Shanghai
Opening Hours: 08:30–17:00
Introduction: Langxia, a small town, has earned five national honors to date, with the first two tied to its tourism appeal. In 2006, the "Rural New Horizons – Zhonghua Village Farmhouse Tour" was recognized as a National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site. In 2009, Langxia Ecological Park was designated as a National AAA Scenic Area. The third honor is Langxia’s designation as a National Basic Farmland Protection Demonstration Zone, approved by the Ministry of Land and Resources. This initiative also fostered the development of premium local rice brands, including "Dr. Jinshan Rice" and "Langxia Rice." Currently priced at approximately RMB 5 to 12 per 500g in supermarkets, they are Shanghai’s only pollution-free rice products among the most expensive domestic rice brands in China. The fourth recognition is the National Agricultural Product Processing Demonstration Base covering an area of 4 km2 and anchored by an agricultural distribution center with an investment of nearly RMB 60 million. This base underscores Langxia’s role in agricultural innovation and development. Finally, Langxia was selected as one of the second batch of National Small Town Reform Pilot Towns. Today, Langxia Ecological Park stands as one of Jinshan District’s top tourist destinations. It holds multiple national titles: a National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site, and a Four-Star Enterprise in National Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism.
