China Shanghai International Arts Festival

China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF), hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China and organized by Shanghai Municipal People's Government, is the only state-level arts festival in China. Started in 1999, the annual CSIAF has grown into a significant platform for cultural exchange and one of the leading arts festivals in the world.

CSIAF follows the tenet of "A Festival of Arts, A Gala for All" . It consists of sections including stage performances, exhibitions and expositions, the "Art Space" Series, arts education program, performing arts fair, forums, themed festivals, and the young talents program called "R.A.W.!" (Rising Artists' Works). With a galaxy of artistic classics and creative originals from home and abroad, CSIAF consistently presents the most fabulous and splendid art feast to the widest audience annually from mid-October to mid-November.

For more than twenty years, through "Art Space" Series, arts education program, the "Special Discount Tickets" and membership activities, CSIAF has been focusing on increasing people' s participation in cultural activities and building a broad platform for interaction and communication between artists worldwide and local audience. Moreover, with the launch of CSIAF Spring Season and CSIAF Parallel Sessions in Wuxi, Ningbo, Hefei, Inner Mongolia and Guizhou, CSIAF continues to strengthen its brand influence by presenting high-quality programs throughout the year and all across the country.
