100 Crafts Passed Down for a Century: Invitational Exhibition of Traditional Chinese Crafts Opens in Shanghai in June

To celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, carry forward the fine traditional Chinese culture, comprehensively display and test the outcomes of the revitalization of traditional Chinese crafts, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government will jointly host “100 Crafts Passed Down for a Century: Invitational Exhibition of Traditional Chinese Crafts” in Shanghai during June 12-July 11. This exhibition is also an important event for intangible cultural heritage promotion and display in honor of the Cultural and Natural Heritage Day in 2021.



This invitational exhibition will exhibit more than 1,500 pieces (sets) of fine works created by more than 1,200 representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, including representative sophisticated fine works of traditional crafts that reflect the construction achievements of different periods in the past hundred years.
