2022-11-15
The 4th Shanghai International Artwork Trade Week concluded on November 14. This trade week stuck to the overall strategy of "policy centralization, trader centralization, trade centralization and benefit centralization". Around the theme "Global Art in Shanghai", about 130 art activities were held, which attracted more than 200 traders. The value of artworks displayed and traded was about ¥12 billion.
This trade week fully integrated global art resources, insisted on high level, high standard and high quality, and intensively launched 5 online and offline art fairs, 37 cultural relics and art auctions, and more than 50 gallery exhibitions.
"In recent years, under the guidance and support of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, Shanghai has carried out the only comprehensive pilot reform in the management of social cultural relics in China. A series of practical explorations have been made in the ""6 months × N"" system for temporary entry of cultural relics and the bonded exhibition and trading of cultural relics and artworks.
Benefited by the Provisions, the cultural relics and art section of the 5th China International Import Expo attracted 82 exhibits worth up to ¥ 1.245 billion from 12 overseas art agencies from five countries and regions. The number and categories of exhibits reached a new high. In the end, purchase intention was reached for 37 pieces of cultural relics and artworks from 9 overseas exhibitors, with a total transaction value of ¥ 490 million."
The 4th Shanghai International Artwork Trade Week paralleled "Shanghai Fine Art Exhibition Season", which started with the trade week and will run until January next year. The annual theme "Discover Shanghai" was set for the first time. About 130 art exhibitions will be held. Curators of key exhibitions will offer Guided Tours. The "Discover Shanghai" themed tour route will be launched.
