Shanghai Disney launches season pass for seniors

Seniors ride a merry-go-round at Shanghai Disneyland.

Shanghai Disney Resort will launch its first-ever Shanghai Disneyland Senior Seasonal Pass in honor of the upcoming Double Ninth Festival, a traditional Chinese festival to honor the elderly.

The new pass, especially designed for people aged 65 years old and above, is priced at 498 yuan (US$74.60). It allows multiple entries to the theme park on the majority of weekdays from October 26, 2020 to January 22, 2021 — subject to the Shanghai Disneyland Senior Seasonal Pass Calendar.

Sales will begin on October 25, the day of the Double Ninth Festival, on multiple online channels including the Shanghai Disney Resort official website, app and WeChat account, as well as Disneytown Guest Services windows located outside the Shanghai Disneyland Main Entrance.

“As an immersive, family-friendly destination that blends timeless Disney storytelling and innovation, Shanghai Disney Resort is a hub where guests of all ages can come to enjoy magical adventures together,” said Joe Schott, president and general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort.

He added: “With the introduction of our new Shanghai Disneyland Senior Seasonal Pass, we are excited to further spread the magic of Shanghai Disneyland, inviting more senior guests to experience the wonders and excitement of repeat visits and embrace their inner child at this magical destination.”

With the Shanghai Disneyland Senior Seasonal Pass, senior citizens will be able to take full advantage of many of the park’s ongoing and upcoming offerings, visiting with their friends, children and grandchildren to experience what the resort has to offer.

And with this year’s fun-filled holiday season already in full swing, the new Senior Seasonal Pass will allow holders to enjoy a wide array of special Disney seasonal celebrations, including Halloween and Christmas, complete with festive entertainment, celebrations and stunning food, beverage and merchandise offerings.
