To celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, on June 3, 2021, the Memorial Site of the 1st National Congress of the Communist Party of China officially reopened after a complete renovation. It consists of the Memorial Site, the Oath Taking Hall and the new museum. “The Great Beginning: An Exhibition of the Founding History of the Communist Party of China” is underway in the new museum. Physical relics, pictures, charts, oil paintings, sculptures, restored historical scenes, multimedia sound images and other means of display are adopted to vividly show the birth of the Communist Party of China. The new museum’s basic exhibition area is over 3,000 square meters. From the 120,000 pieces (sets) of relics in its collection and newly collected archival and historical materials from international and domestic sources in recent years, 612 relics are selected as exhibits. The number of relics on display has increased considerably compared with the original basic exhibition. The total number of exhibits, including pictures and artworks, has increased from 278 to 1,168. |
