Daxue Road is located in KIC Shanghai, Wujiaochang, Yangpu District, at the heart of the first national-level nighttime cultural and tourism consumption cluster in the area. This open integrated block connects two iconic landmarks: Fudan University and Jiangwan Stadium. Additionally, its adjoining streets link multiple office buildings of KIC Shanghai, forming a vibrant connection between campuses, communities, and technology parks. With its thoughtful spatial design, Daxue Road creates an environment that blends “the universities in the city, and the city with the universities,” while encompassing various functions and business forms such as leisure, tourism, and life service. The planning of the block was carried out by several internationally renowned architectural design teams. By adopting strategies like continuous street interfaces, multifunction mixed buildings, dense street network in small blocks, and diverse public spaces, Daxue Road has created a highly integrated environment where living, entertainment, work, and study coexist harmoniously. In 2017, Daxue Road was recognized as a model walking friendly street by the Shanghai Street Design Guidelines and was named one of the 12 most beautiful streets in Shanghai by the Jiefang Daily. In 2020, it was included in the first batch of 16 All-for-One Tourism Demonstration Zones in Shanghai, becoming a model of urban quality living.
