LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort is a comprehensive LEGO®-themed entertainment destination specifically designed for families with children aged 2 to 12. The resort features eight uniquely themed areas, boasting more than 75 interactive rides, live shows, and play attractions. Thousands of intricate models, built from over 85 million LEGO bricks, ignite the imagination and creativity of every visitor, ensuring the creation of cherished memories that last a lifetime.
Upon completion, LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort will comprise a LEGOLAND® theme park and a dedicated LEGOLAND® Hotel. The park features eight themed areas: Brick Street & Bricktopia!, LEGO® CITY, LEGO® Friends, LEGO® Monkie Kid, LEGO® NINJAGO, LEGO® Castle, and LEGO® Creative World. Within these eight immersive themed zones, children and parents can unleash their imagination and creativity, creating unforgettable memories together. It is set to be one of the most anticipated theme parks in the Yangtze River Delta region.
As China’s first LEGOLAND, LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort features multiple pioneering attractions and will introduce a range of global firsts, including:
- The world’s debut “LEGOLAND® Creative World” themed area, showcasing the largest LEGO figure in the park’s history—a 26-meter-tall “DADA.”
- The first LEGOLAND® Resort globally to feature a “Monkie Kid” themed zone.
- The only hotel with traditional Jiangnan water-town charm, highlighting the cultural heritage of the region.
- Seamless indoor-outdoor experiences, allowing visitors to explore iconic landmarks and culturally rich scenes from across China, all built from LEGO bricks, in a single day.
LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort offers a diverse array of performances and entertainment activities, designed to provide guests with a comprehensive and engaging experience. Upon opening, the park will host 22 daily LEGO-themed meet-and-greet sessions, allowing guests to get up close with their favorite LEGO characters. Eleven distinct themed shows and special events will be presented in rotation throughout the day. The 4D cinema will screen popular LEGO movies continuously, delivering an immersive viewing experience. Furthermore, the global premiere of the LEGO Monkie Kid Live Show: Battle of the Flower Fruit Mountain will debut spectacularly at the Live Theatre in Bricktopia!, utilizing advanced projection effects and large-scale props to create an unprecedented visual spectacle.
The dedicated LEGOLAND® Hotel, an integral part of the resort, features a striking exterior constructed from oversized LEGO bricks. The hotel will offer 250 uniquely themed rooms, including LEGO® CITY, LEGO® Friends, LEGO® Castle, LEGO® NINJAGO, and the world’s first LEGO® Monkie Kid-themed accommodations. Over 1,700 LEGO art models and 200 LEGO-inspired props are distributed throughout the property, providing families with a 360-degree immersive experience. The hotel also features interactive play areas such as an Adventure Play, Jungle Gym, and Creative Workshop, designed to stimulate creativity and allow both children and adults to unleash their imagination in a joyful atmosphere.
Currently, the surrounding transportation infrastructure is being rapidly developed, with the transportation network becoming increasingly efficient. It is worth highlighting that the LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort is located adjacent to Jinshan North Railway Station, from which high-speed trains can reach Shanghai Hongqiao Hub in as little as 18 minutes and Shanghai South Railway Station in 19 minutes.
