Donbar (Lujiazui Tourist Loop)
The donbar (Lujiazui Tourist Loop), a practical project as part of Lujiazui’s comprehensive supporting reforms and put into operation on May 1, 2007, is the first double-decker bus-based tourism matching product (circular driving around the Little Lujiazui area) in China and is spoken highly of by domestic and foreign tourists. The Lujiazui Tourist Loop upgraded four British style buses in August 2017. Based on ten years of operating experience and in light of the feedback and needs of consumers, we repositioned the brand as “donbar,” which discarded the concept of pure transportation and added the business philosophy of mobile bars, including “a mobile landscape bar, a mobile coffee bar and a mobile pub...” to provide tourists with more high value-added services. The donbar (Lujiazui Tourist Loop), focusing on tourist sites in Pudong, strives to contribute to Pudong’s tourism culture and tell an engaging story of Pudong. It will be replicated by and extended to top tourist cities across the country.
