Mercedes-Benz Arena is a stylish cultural landmark and a "never-ending city stage". It is located in the core area of the Shanghai World Expo Park, adjacent to the China Art Museum and the Expo Axis, and overlooking the Huangpu River. It is an international entertainment and performance venue, consisting of a main arena, a small live performance venue, and commercial areas. The main arena can accommodate up to 18,000 spectators, with 82 VIP boxes and lounges, all equipped with advanced performance facilities, capable of hosting large-scale indoor cultural, entertainment, and sports events both domestically and internationally. The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Jacky Cheung, Faye Wong, Jay Chou, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, NBA International Series China, UFC Fight Night, Cirque du Soleil, and many other cultural, entertainment, and sports events have been held in this vibrant pioneer entertainment landmark, gathering domestic and international popular cultural icons.

While providing top-notch event venues, the Mercedes-Benz Arena also has over 20,000 square meters of commercial complex, featuring a variety of interactive experiential projects such as rock climbing, dance studios, ice skating rinks, and spa massages, among others. The venue also houses multiple restaurants and cafes of different types, offering everything from casual snacks to gourmet feasts, allowing visitors to choose according to their preferences.

The predecessor of the Mercedes-Benz Arena was the Expo Cultural Center, and the green and ecological architectural base and energy-saving and environmentally friendly architectural facade blend the center into the natural form of the Binjiang Park, reflecting the design concept of harmonious coexistence and the Expo's overall theme of "Better City, Better Life". After the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the Mercedes-Benz Arena has been used as a permanent exhibition hall. In January 2020, it was named one of the "Top Ten New Landmark Buildings in Shanghai".
