Operated by Shanghai Shangyan Cultural Investment Management Co., Ltd., it occupies a standalone building at the intersection of West Beijing Road and Jiangning Road. The venue aims to combine theatrical IPs with diversified commercial formats, creating a cultural complex and new cultural-tourism landmark centered on immersive performances that integrates a bar, dining, light accommodations, and more. Shangyan Valley’s core project is the Shanghai edition of the internationally renowned immersive drama “Sleep No More”; its performance spaces span the building’s 1st through 6th floors, and the south building houses a theatre-themed hotel called “The Drama”.
