More than 120 works of design and intelligent technology are on display at an exhibition on the Yangpu riverside as part of the ongoing World Design Cities Conference.

"Two AIs: Artistic Intelligence and Digital Intelligent Design" opened at the Minghua Sugar Warehouse Art Center on Thursday and will remain open to the public until October 9.

The exhibition explores the intersection between artificial intelligence and artistic thoughts in culture, society, and everyday life. It is organized by the China Academy of Art and the Yangpu District Government, with funding from the National Arts Fund.

The exhibition is divided into four sections: "Machine Turing," "Digital Black Box," "Cultural New Quality" and "Life Prism." Visitors will see works ranging from robots and AI design systems to interactive devices for home and health applications.

Highlights include BrainRobotics' bionic hand, the Fourier GR-1 humanoid robot, an orthopedic surgical robot system, and an AI chess-playing robot.

Other pieces include design solutions for energy, transportation, and wellness, such as a pressure-bubble light and a breath care home respirator.

Approximately 80 percent of the exhibits include intelligent or AI-driven applications. Participants include Huawei, Alibaba Cloud, SenseTime, Tencent, 4Paradigm and UTS Tech.

Curators said that their goal is to simplify complex AI principles, making them accessible through hands-on experiences. The exhibition features immersive displays, artist workshops, and school trips designed to engage the public with innovative design concepts.
