Mike Emery, an Australian photographer with a distinctive perspective, first visited China 44 years ago, capturing the essence of Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin in 1980. Aged 23 at the time, he was one of the first foreigners to see inside China as the country was starting reform and opening-up.

His book "China 1980" is a tribute to the social landscape of that era.

"The beautiful smiling faces from the spring of 1980, where are they now?" Mike asked, hoping to reconnect with the people in the exhibition photos.

As a core brand of Artyzen Hospitality Group, Artyzen Habitat embraces the philosophy of "Art, Culture, and Emotional Wisdom." The hotel seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary elements, making art accessible and engaging.
