Shanghai will see brilliant sunshine and blue skies with the mercury hitting 18 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday.

The sunny, dry weather will continue through Wednesday before some drizzle on Thursday. Skies will clear up again on Friday.

The warm weather is very likely to mark the official arrival of spring, which requires five days in a row with daily average temperatures recorded at no less than 10 degrees.

Saturday will be fine, with some rain on Sunday.
