From the waterfront music festival to the Mid-Autumn lantern festival, a cultural and tourism extravaganza will dazzle visitors to Qingpu District.
Approximately 100 activities will take place throughout the area until the end of November, beginning with the "Most Jiangnan - 2025 Qingpu Culture and Tourism Festival & Golden Autumn Consumption Season" on Friday night.
Throughout the season, 12 million yuan (US$1.69 million) in consumption vouchers will be issued, covering discounts on cultural, hotel, transit, shopping, and other areas.
Songze, Fuquanshan, and Qinglong Town are among the district's heritage sites, which also include Zhujiajiao, Liantang, and Jinze old towns.

Mid-Autumn Celebration
Panlong Xintiandi is hosting a two-week cultural extravaganza that creatively revives traditional festivals with a modern lifestyle.
Its five main sections – lanterns, feast, performance, workshop, and market – will transform modern Jiangnan poetry and heritage.
The festival includes a two-week Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival, 20 special performances, over 15 handicraft workshops, 15 Jiangnan-limited tea and wine feasts, and a brewing fair.
The feast design incorporates moon imagery into covered corridors, water views, and tea pavilions, creating a poetic landscape, while the market sells intangible cultural heritage brewed food like Shaoxing rice wine, Shanxi aged vinegar, and traditional crafts like cloisonne,

Shanghai Qingpu Waterfront Music Festival
The festival in October will feature an open-air music performance for an expected crowd of 10,000 people.
Jin Chengzhi, the director and founder of the Rainbow Chamber Singers, will collaborate with the popular lineup from Rolling Stone China for a series of performances.
The festival will showcase a variety of musical styles, including classical, guofeng (China-chic), ACG (anime, comics, games), electronic music, pop, and nostalgia.
By integrating catering, accommodation, sightseeing, and shopping, the music festival aims to create a comprehensive consumption platform referred to as "music festival +."

2025 Immersive Culture Season of Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
It features performances including intangible cultural heritage shows, innovative traditional Chinese operas, modern folk music concerts and singing group galas, showcasing the profound cultural heritage of Zhujiajiao.
Cultural celebrities and musicians will explore and innovatively interpret the poems, history and stories of Qingpu with new tunes, demonstrating the charm of Chinese Jiangnan(south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River)culture to the world.

Qingpu Waterfront Life Festival
Qingpu is set to introduce nighttime waterfront-themed activities in key commercial areas, including waterfront homestays, waterside dining venues, and water sports facilities.
Among these offerings, Qingxi Country Park and Oriental Land will feature overnight accommodations and night tours, including stargazing camping, markets, and evening parties.
Businesses in Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, Panlong Xintiandii, and Hemu Water Street will extend their operating hours to enhance Qingpu's waterfront nightlife.
