Shanghai West Bund Theater is located on the Xuhui Riverside, adjacent to Gate M West Bund Dream Center, West Bund Art Center, Oil Tank Art Center, and West Bund Art Museum. Positioned as the "shining art pearl on the Huangpu River," the theater combines splendid artistic experiences with a trendy waterfront lifestyle, creating a public art space integrating theater viewing, socializing, and leisure activities.

Designed by the internationally renowned Danish architectural firm SHL, the theater's facade features undulating lines to interpret the concept of "rippling waterfront," echoing the shimmering waters of the Huangpu River.

The total building area of Shanghai West Bund Theater is approximately 23,000 square meters, with four above-ground floors and two underground floors. It houses a 1,673-seat grand theater and a 208-seat small theater, aiming to provide outstanding performing arts experiences comparable to world-class waterfront art centers.

Unlike traditional theaters, the West Bund Theater is not only a venue for performing arts, but also an immersive open public space. The "Waterfront Promenade" observation balcony on the third floor is an excellent viewing spot where the river view is unobstructed.

Furthermore, the West Bund Theater is a pet-friendly theater, with an outdoor pet rest area and pet-friendly facilities provided. Citizens walking with their pets around the theater will create a beautiful scenery.
