The Shanghai Illustration & Pop Show (SIPS) will be having its first showing here at the Shanghai Exhibition Center from May 29 to 31.

Originating from Illustrators Exhibition within the Bologna Children's Book Fair, the exhibition is highly regarded within the field and is even nicknamed "The Oscars of the Illustration Industry". Committed to creating an international platform that integrates artistic expression, industrial cooperation and urban consumption, the Illustrator's Exhibition has decided to extend its reach here to Shanghai, in the form of SIPS.

Expect a full lineup of illustrations, art and other artistic trends here at SIPS. With trendy brands and artists from all over the world, this global gallery will surely turn heads and inspire visitors and even the artists themselves as everyone gets a chance to see the different ways that illustration has taken shape.

There will be 4 main exhibitions: Illustrations as an Artistic Discipline, Trends and Brands, Illustrations in our Everyday Lives as well as International Illustrations and Contemporary Art. The exhibit is a complete showcase of classical styles to contemporary art, as we walk through the timeline to observe the evolution of styles and the innovation in global illustration art in the last 30 years. With the myriads of art pieces and stylistic renditions, you will be immersed in the artistic aesthetics of illustrations contemporary art and trend culture.

With its origin from Bologna Children's Book Fair, there will also be works of artists active in the fields of picture book publishing, so visitors with children would not want to miss out on some of the fun drawings that will inspire creativity and imagination in children and adults alike.
