Global Art Pop Force Allie X First Shanghai Show Confirmed

Art-pop visionary Allie X is heading to Shanghai.

On March 25, the Canadian singer-songwriter brings her 2026 China Tour to Shanghai's MAO Livehouse, marking her first-ever performance in the city. Known for her instantly recognizable voice, sculptural visuals, and genre-bending sound, Allie X delivers shows that feel less like concerts and more like immersive pop theater.

Her music moves between indie pop, electro-pop, and avant-garde gloss, balancing vulnerability with sharp-edged intensity. From early breakout releases to her 2025 album Happiness Is Going To Get You, she has built a global following drawn to her emotional precision and fearless aesthetic. Sweet melodies often carry tension beneath the surface; hooks linger long after the lights come up.

With over two billion global streams and collaborations alongside artists such as Troye Sivan and Mitski, Allie X has become one of pop's most visually and sonically distinctive voices. Her stage presence reflects her multidisciplinary identity–singer, songwriter, fashion collaborator, and visual architect – blending retro drama, futuristic minimalism, and bold self-expression into a tightly curated live experience.

Shanghai audiences can expect a close-range encounter: pulsing synths, razor-sharp vocals, and a performance that thrives on intimacy as much as spectacle.

Date: March 25

Venue: Mao Livehouse
