Introduction: The Shanghai Astronomy Museum (Branch of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum), located at No. 380 Lingang Avenue, Pudong New Area, is the world’s largest astronomy museum, with a gross floor area of 38,000 square meters. Under the theme “Connecting People to the Universe,” the museum has three thematic sections, including “Home,” “Cosmos” and “Odyssey,” as well as three distinctive exhibition areas, i.e., “Astronomy in China,” “Wonder Planet” and “Journey to the Mars.” The museum displays a rich collection of astronomy, including 70 meteorite samples and more than 120 sets of artifacts, and is equipped with four pieces of professional equipment for astronomical observation, enabling visitors to see a stunning starry sky. The museum is committed to establishing itself as the best platform for telling the stories of the universe, inspiring people’s interest in science and becoming the coolest astronomy popularization base. The museum’s ticket prices are RMB 30 for adults, RMB 15 for students and RMB 25 for elders aged 60-69. It is open to other population groups for free. (Children up to 1.3 meters or aged 6 and below who must be accompanied by their ticket-buying guardians; elders aged 70 and above; retired officials; active servicemen, survivors of martyrs, survivors of servicemen who died while on duty or died of illness; persons with disabilities; in-service, retired and disabled fire rescuers (incl. full-time government firemen); cadets of fire rescue schools; and members of China Comprehensive Fire and Rescue Force.)
