Situated at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, it lies in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta ecological green integrated development demonstration zone. It is only a 40-minute drive from Hongqiao International Airport and is well connected by surrounding expressways such as the G50, G60, S26, G1503 and National Highway 318, giving it prominent locational advantages and favorable conditions for development. It is an important tourist destination and leisure resort for Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region. The resort hosts a variety of colorful festivals and events each year, such as the "Most Charming Jiangnan" Qingpu Cultural Tourism Festival, the annual Camping Gala, 318 Qingpu Tourism Day, and the Jiangnan Plum Blossom Season. Designed to appeal to diverse audiences across different seasons, these events promote the integration of the resort’s cultural and tourism resources. Since 2023, aligned with major district strategies and key tasks like rural revitalization, the China International Import Expo (CIIE), and the Yangtze River Delta integration, the resort has rolled out themed initiatives including Spring Fresh Season, Beautiful Countryside, Expo & shopping, New Performance & Art spaces, and boutique countryside tourism routes, while closely following hot topics such as the “No long trips during the Labor Day holiday” series of outdoor travel guides. Major promotional events in 2023 — including the Shanghai Strawberry Music Festival, Coffee Culture Week, Qingpu Camping Story, Vegetable Rice Season, and Strawberry Season — were led via the “Qingpu Culture & Tourism” WeChat account and promoted through a mix of traditional media and internet celebrity marketing. Through omnichannel, multi-platform publicity, the “New Qingpu — Most Charming Jiangnan” cultural-tourism brand image has become increasingly well established. Shanghai Qingpu Dianshan Lake Tourism Resort enjoys an excellent ecological environment: Dianshan Lake shimmers with waves and is surrounded by lush vegetation, providing an outstanding natural foundation for wellness tourism. It also has deep cultural accumulation—rich historical relics and folk traditions that offer visitors unique spiritual nourishment. In terms of wellness resource planning, the resort, as a key demonstration area for coordinated ecological and cultural development in the Yangtze River Delta, is actively building an allround, multilevel wellness tourism system based on its exceptional natural endowments and profound historical heritage. Within the resort, the Dianshan Lake Garden Retirement Community centers on a professional elderly-care service system, equipped with advanced living facilities and a professional nursing team, committed to providing highquality wellness living for seniors. “Hua” Wellness Resort on the lakeshore is an integrated resort that combines natural scenery with modern leisure facilities. Relying on the natural landscape and incorporating traditional wellness concepts, it offers a variety of featured wellness programs—including a spa center, a yoga studio, and a fitness center—to meet diverse need of visitors. These developments not only drive the growth of the regional wellness industry but also offer highquality options for healthy living to residents of the Yangtze River Delta, helping to raise the overall quality of life and happiness in the region.
