Take a stroll on Nanchang Road.

2024-10-30

Hidden in the bustling city, Nanchang Road is located very close to the vibrant Huaihai Road, yet it remains peaceful and serene, exuding a unique flavor of the old Shanghai. Walking along Nanchang Road, one can feel the convergence of influential figures and their patriotic sentiments, leaving their footprints in the sands of time.

Under the tranquil plane trees, numerous garden villas and apartments create a pleasant environment. The charm of Nanchang Road lies not only in the elegance and delicacy of its architectural structures, but also in the burning passion for ideals. It was here that Chen Duxiu founded the magazine "New Youth," serving as the vanguard of the Chinese revolution. The former site of Datong Kindergarten, with its octagonal pavilion architectural style, was built to protect the children of martyrs...

Today, the century-old stories are hidden in the subtle aroma of coffee. Nanchang Road, a peaceful retreat in the midst of the bustling city, has become the home of the "Coffee Alliance," with dozens of unique coffee shops narrating a new chapter of the Shanghai style.
