Wukang Building

Wukang Building, formerly known as Normandie Apartments, was built in 1924. Designed by the French architect Lafayette Warren Dalrymple, it is a residential apartment building in the French Renaissance architectural style and is the earliest veranda-style apartment building in Shanghai.

Wukang Building Post Office

In September 2021, the first coffee-themed post office in Shanghai made a grand debut across from the Wukang Building. Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Former Residence Memorial Hall

The Memorial Hall of Soong Ching Ling's Former Residence in Shanghai is the former residence of Madam Soong Ching Ling, the wife of Sun Yat-sen, the honorary chairman of the People's Republic of China and a pioneer of the Chinese democratic revolution. It is a key national cultural relic protection unit. The Shanghai Soong Ching Ling's Former Residence bears the memories of the family and the feelings for the country of Soong Ching Ling. It is one of the main places where she engaged in state affairs, and it is the place she loved the most and lived for the longest time in her life, her "lovely home."

Wukang Court

Built in 1928, with a floor area of approximately 600 square meters, the building is a garden residence in the neoclassical style. It is a three-story brick and concrete structure with a plain red brick exterior wall and a herringbone slope red tile roof. The current address, 376 Wukang Road, is now a commercial complex called Wukang Court, which houses various businesses such as dining, retail, and art galleries.

Ba Jin's Former Residence

No. 113 Wukang Road was built in 1923 and is a modern-style independent garden residence with early modernist features. In the early 1950s, it served as the Soviet Union's business representative office in China. In 1955, Ba Jin and his family moved to this place from Xiafei Lane (now Huaihai Lane) No. 59.

Romeo's balcony

The Romeo Balcony is named after Shanghai female writer Chen Danyan's description in "Shanghai's Wind, Flowers, Snow, and Moon." "I don't know which friend once pointed at it and said, that's the balcony Romeo is going to climb. From then on, everyone called it Romeo Balcony. One day, I want to quietly stand here and say that I like you and love you."

Yongle Hui

In the early 1950s, Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Company settled here, later used by Shanghai Yongle Corporation Limited. The internal movie theaters Yongle Palace and the headquarters of Shanghai Lianhe Cinema Line were both born here.

Shanghai Drama Art Center

Shanghai Drama Art Center is not only the only state-owned drama performance art troupe in Shanghai, but also one of the best drama production groups in China.

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 10:00-17:00; Tuesday to Saturday 18:30-19:30 (only open to ticket holders); In case of afternoon performances, 12:00 until the end of the performance (only open to ticket holders).

Ba Jin Former Residence

No. 113 Wukang Road was built in 1923 as a modern independent garden residence with early modernist features. In the early 1950s, it served as the Soviet Union's business representation in China. In 1955, Ba Jin and his family moved to this location from No. 59 Xiahui Fang (now Huaihai Fang).

Ke Ling's Former Residence

The former residence of Mr. Ke Ling, a renowned writer, playwright, and critic in our country, is located at 147 Fuxing Road West, Shanghai. It is a three-story Spanish-style residence facing the street. The residence houses over 130 boxes of books, as well as thousands of correspondence between Ke Ling and literary figures such as Qian Zhongshu, Yang Jiang, and Xia Yan. It also contains manuscripts of the essay collection "Fragrance of Snowy Sea" and the first chapter of the novel "Shanghai One Hundred Years" titled "Ten Miles of Foreign Concessions."
