Fosun Foundation Shanghai, located in the Bund Finance Center (BFC), is a not-for-profit art center initiated and funded by the Fosun Group and the Fosun Foundation. The center, designed to promote contemporary art, is committed to communication on culture and art between China and the rest of the world and promoting public attention to, understanding of and participation in global contemporary art. The center’s rooftop “Counter Sky Garden,” a public artwork created by Japanese artist Tatsuo Miyajima together with 300 Shanghai residents, is included in the permanent collection of the Fosun Foundation. The center also gives ongoing attention and support to local artists in China, providing a broader platform for displaying outstanding works of Chinese contemporary art.
