Mercato by Jean-Georges is a new restaurant opened in Shanghai in 2012 after the Michelin chef Jean-George von Grichton launched the Jean Georges French restaurant in 2004. Mercato decidedly simple and understated approach represents a refreshing addition to Shanghai's dining scene.
