Overview
The Mid-Lake Pavilion, situated at the center of the Zigzag Bridge over the lotus pond outside the Yuyuan Garden, is the oldest preserved tea house in Shanghai with a history as long as 160 years. It enjoys a reputation as \"the First Tea House on the sea\". 30 years ago, Queen Elizabeth II visited the Mid-Lake Pavilion during her visit to China.
