Qingxi Old Street has a history of more than 1400 years and is a typical representative of Jiangnan Water Town. Along the river, the architectural style is mostly brick and wood structures from the Ming and Qing dynasties, with blue tiles and white walls, giving it a simple and elegant charm. Many historical sites are preserved on both sides of the river, such as Wanghai Tower, Nanyuan, and Nanhong Bridge, showcasing its rich cultural heritage.

The existing Qingxi Old Street is 1.3 kilometers long and preserves the local rural architecture of the southern suburbs of Shanghai. The "hanging feet buildings" along the river in Qingxi Old Street have the characteristics of the water towns in Jiangnan, being built close to the bank and standing by the water.

Many snack shop owners are born and raised in Fengxian, and their attitude towards food is as simple and serious as their attitude towards life.
