Introduction: "Located in the Lujiazui Financial District of Pudong and adjacent to the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium is a modern man-made seawater aquarium that integrates aquatic life and ecological exhibitions, science education, and tourism leisure. Since its opening in February 2002, it has become a popular destination for domestic and international visitors to experience the wonders of the ocean, hosting over two million visitors annually. It has been designated as a National/Shanghai Municipal Science Education Base. The Shanghai Ocean Aquarium showcases over 450 species of live aquatic animals from five continents and four oceans, including both freshwater and marine life. The overall layout seamlessly integrates the exhibition of aquatic organisms with their natural habitats and human geographical contexts. While regularly updating its permanent displays, the aquarium also introduces annual thematic educational exhibitions. It features a variety of experiential display facilities such as informative panels with illustrations, educational videos, looped electronic screens, and interactive touchscreens. Located on the third floor, the “Ocean Classroom” is an ideal place for children to learn and play. This space includes a touch pool where visitors can interact with sharks, a “Doctor Fish” pool for tactile experiences, a projection screen for educational films, and touchscreens for competitive games and science quizzes. The “Ocean Classroom” serves as an extracurricular learning environment where students engage in lessons and activities guided by the aquarium’s educators."
