"The Rolling Thoughts" VR Exhibition
Charging Information: 79
Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00–18:00 (Last admission at 17:30)
Exhibition Period: 2025-08-10~2026-03-20
Introduction: The "The Rolling Thoughts" VR exhibition is produced and presented by the Configreality Space team, curated by Liu Liquan, and authorized by the French DSLCollection. From its collection of over a hundred works by Chinese contemporary artists, eight pieces have been selected to create this immersive digital media exhibition. The featured Chinese artists, spanning from the 1960s to the 1990s, either explore the past, present, and future of their era from unique perspectives or actively investigate individual experiences and sensations, expressing them through inspiring techniques. Unlike simply replicating physical works and displaying them in a virtual space, the curatorial team leverages its expertise in immersive interactive media to create participatory experiences impossible in traditional exhibitions. By adopting multiple perspectives—audience, inspired observer, and creator—the exhibition encourages interactive engagement. It integrates movement, sensory perception, and interaction to reinterpret originally static, two-dimensional works, transforming them into three-dimensional, scenographic, and interactive experiences. Visitors themselves become subjects of exploration and experimentation within the works, deepening their understanding of the art and the artists’ concepts, allowing the ideas behind the pieces to evolve and gain new dimensions.
