Exhibition focuses on family

An exhibition that explores themes of family has kicked off in Shanghai, hoping to raise awareness of family reunions ahead of the year-end holiday.

The exhibition, entitled “Regrowth,” features photos from 16 families. There are also some interesting interactive installations too.

A memo board allows family members to write down their wishes to each other: such as children wishing to avoid homework, or wives wishing their husbands would help more with housework. A tall round orange cylinder is inserted with speaking tubes which allow children to share their little secrets.

The exhibition, held in the first floor of The Palace shopping mall in Changning District, will run until December 31.
