Shanghai Yuan Dynasty Water Gate Museum

Location:No. 619 Yanchang West Road, Putuo District, Shanghai

The Yuan Dynasty Water Gate was discovered in May 2001. After several excavations, the site was fully exposed in 2006. It is the largest, best-made and best-preserved Yuan Dynasty water gate that has been excavated in China. Visitors not only can feel ancient people's wisdom, but also can learn a lot of ancient water conservancy knowledge. Natural light reaches the underground exhibition hall through the glass roof, where visitors can walk on the winding glass skywalk to admire various cultural relics unearthed below. The animation on the wall shows the scene of measurement and excavation.
