On February 12, 2025, Jinjiang International Group announced the signing of a joint venture framework agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery's Global Experiences division to develop the Harry Porter Studio Tour (Shanghai) – "The Making of Harry Potter." This project, located at Shanghai Jinjiang Amusement Park, is expected to open for operation in 2027. It marks the first landing of the Harry Potter Studio Tour in China. Currently, the joint venture agreement and project initiation are still in the regulatory approval stage.

The Warner Bros. Covering an estimated area of about 53,000 square meters, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Shanghai is planned to include indoor and outdoor areas. Visitors are expected to spend approximately half a day on the tour. Furthermore, a landscaped park will be carefully prepared at the project entrance as a recreational area for tourists and the general public.

Major Announcement! The Harry Potter Studio Tour (Shanghai) officially launched at Shanghai Jinjiang Amusement Park.

As the first large-scale professional amusement park in Shanghai, Jinjiang Amusement Park was once a beautiful memory of leisure and entertainment for Shanghai residents, as well as a well-known tourism brand. With the development of the city, Shanghai Jinjiang Amusement Park has moved from its original location in the suburbs to the main urban area of Minhang District, where its facilities can no longer meet the new demands of visitors. In recent years, Jinjiang International Group has leveraged the advantages of the cultural tourism industry chain to integrate various formats such as hotels, tourism, passenger transportation, catering, and urban services, focusing on a "three-pronged approach" to actively plan the upgrade and transformation of Shanghai Jinjiang Amusement Park.

First, classic projects are being renewed and upgraded to preserve the memory of Shanghai. Since its completion in 2002, the Shanghai Ferris Wheel has become the most representative amusement project in Jinjiang Amusement Park. This upgrade will involve rebuilding it to continue carrying the beautiful memories of generations of Shanghai residents.

Second, national brands combined with international IPs are used to create a new cultural and tourism landmark in Shanghai. The transformation of Shanghai Jinjiang Amusement Park this time introduces the internationally renowned IP Harry Potter, aiming to strongly activate the brand value of Jinjiang Amusement Park, accurately release consumer vitality, and make it a landmark project attracting movie fans and enthusiasts from all over the country and even the world, becoming a new popular attraction and a new highlight in Shanghai's cultural tourism.

Third, the integration of culture and tourism creates a shared space for hosts and guests, opening up a new leisure space for citizens. The upgrade and transformation plan of Shanghai Jinjiang Amusement Park includes the development of the Harry Potter Studio Tour (Shanghai), the construction of a supporting landscape park, and the rebuilding of the Ferris Wheel. These will become a good place for citizens to relax and entertain daily, creating new scenes for shared cultural tourism consumption while retaining the classic urban amusement park attributes in the central city area.

Shanghai Jinjiang Amusement Park will be temporarily closed starting from January 26, 2025, and is expected to complete the upgrade and transformation work and reopen in 2027.
