The museum is 4,200㎡, with more than 700 unearthed ancient cultural relics in collection, including more than 300 national musical instruments of more than 50 national minorities. At present, it has three basic exhibition halls, respectively titled Exhibition Hall of the Ancient Culture of Maqiao, Exhibition Hall of Chinese Musical Instruments, A Rising New Town—A Display of Minhang District's Development and Achievements.
