Shanghai Fire Museum was officially opened on Nov.9, 2007, with about 2,400 ㎡ of exhibition space. It currently is a first-class specialized museum in China with the world's advanced level. There are more than 21,000 pieces in collection, including many modern Shanghai fire-fighting relics of great historical value, such as early individual fire-fighting equipment, fire engines and automatic fire-fighting devices. Through the exhibits in various exhibition areas, visitors can get a comprehensive understanding of Shanghai's fire protection from its birth, development to brilliant leaps. The museum also has a multifunctional hall for fire-fighting technology education and experiencing, which uses currently world-class high-tech display technologies, including the 4D cinema, virtual escape experiencing space, interactive virtual fire laboratory and so on.
