Shanghai International Race Circuit

Shanghai International Race Circuit is also called Shanghai International Race Track, is the only one class A race track certified by FIA in China and is also one of the top-grade rack tracks in the world. Shanghai International Race Track is designed by Hermann Tilke, a famous German race track designer. The international race track in Sochi of Russia and Bahrain international rack track are also designed by him. Single lap length of the main race track (F1 race track) is 5.451km. In race, the racers shall ride by 56 laps here, and total mileage is 305.066km. The length of longest straight race track is 1.175km, the race track width is 13-15m, and the maximum width at the curved section is 20m. The race track is a really high-speed race track. Shanghai International Race Circuit is also called "上 race track" because it is not only located at Shanghai, but also is named for the shape of the whole race track. Overlooking from the sky, the race track presents the shape of flying Chinese character of "上", this is local factor specially added by Hermann Tilke for the circuit.
