Shanghai Hengshan Road Bar Street

Hengshan Road lined by French parasol trees is Shanghai’s most visited leisure zone. In the 20’s and 30’s of the last century, many buildings of European style were constructed along its length. Today, after night falls, the neon-lit, beer-soaked road with bars housed in old homes of European style, old chapels and courtyard homes is a stomping ground for night revelers. It’s a permanent reminder of decadent Shanghai in the old days.
