Cultural Encounter in Shanghai and Beyond

Day 1:
Arrival and welcome reception at Ye Shanghai at Xintiandi.

Day 2:
In the morning, take a skywalk on the see-through glass 474m off the ground at Shanghai World Financial Center and lunch at a restaurant at Tianzifang.    
In the afternoon, take a 1-hour Huangpu River Cruise and then have your dresses and suits tail-made at South Bund Fabric Market. Night Acrobatic show at Shanghai Circus World. A drink at M on the Bund.

Day 3:
The melting-pot city's surging economy fueled a building boom in 1920's and 30's that transformed Shanghai into a showcase for the architectural style meant to capture the excitement, promise and glamour of the machine age: Art Deco. Join one day art-deco architecture tour, including morning visit to Park Hotel, Shanghai Grand Cinema; lunch at the Langham, the Yangtze; afternoon visit to Fairmont Peace Hotel and Shanghai Broadway Mansions; afternoon tea at the well-known the Peninsula Shanghai. Dinner at SIGMA Club of Wharf 1846. After dinner, a glass of drink at Long Bar, an impressive 34m bar counter and longest in the Far East back in the early days of the 1910s at Waldolf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund.

Day 4:
A morning visit to the former Expo Site and Yuyuan Garden – a famous classic private garden in the old town of Shanghai. Lunch at Lvbolang to taste a dozen of its typical Shanghai dimsum. Afternoon retreat at Daketang - a local teahouse to learn all the stories of various tea the owner collected. Dinner at Morton's the Steakhouse. After dinner, a glass of drink at the XTD Elevated - a chic outdoor lounge and terrace with a South American vibe at Langham, Xintiandi.

Day 5:
Half day excursion tour to Fengjing Ancient Water Town – a 1,500 hundred year old town of canals and famous for its indigenous farmers' paintings. Lunch at a restaurant for its local flavors. After returning to Shanghai, make a visit to a local market at West Nanjing Road noted for its inexpensive clothes, pearls, leather goods, silk, and arts and crafts. Dinner at Kathleen's 5 - a contemporary fine dining establishment on top of Shanghai Art Museum. A glass of drink at the Old Jazz Bar at Fairmont Peace Hotel.

Day 6:
Wrap up and departure by Maglev train ride to Pudong International Airport
