The atmosphere is full of excitement! These shopping malls in Shanghai have "put on a new look".

Just past the Spring Festival, major shopping malls in Shanghai
have all put on brand new decorations
with particularly impressive themed designs
Let's take a look together

Lujiazui Center
Recently, Lujiazui Center Mall celebrated its 6th anniversary with the grand opening of the national premiere exhibition and themed activities of "Serpent Garden" created in collaboration with the Dunhuang Museum.
This artistic installation draws inspiration from the artistic style and cultural background of the Dunhuang Museum, seamlessly incorporating traditional cultural symbols such as Dunhuang flying celestial beings and zodiac signs into a modern commercial space. It offers citizens and tourists a free and romantic journey to explore the secrets of Dunhuang. Through mysterious and splendid installations and art displays, visitors can follow the blossoming flowers to discover the Serpent Garden and embrace the auspicious spirit of the Year of the Snake.
Address: No. 899 Pudong South Road, Pudong New District.

Tian An 1000 Trees
Located in the Tian An 1000 Trees, this New Year installation may be the first "spirit snake" to be air-dropped in Shanghai. The flat and cartoonish snake is quite cute. From the perspective of looking down from upstairs, you will find that it is a huge transparent gift box. The spirit snake transforms into the packaging rope on the gift box, forming a snake-patterned ribbon that ties a bow.
This giant art installation is called "Gift: Pink Bear and Snake-patterned Ribbon." It is cleverly constructed with numerous delicate threads and ribbons, and a 12-meter-high gift box is suspended in space, creating a dreamy and lightweight visual effect. These pink ribbons hang in the air and cleverly converge into the silhouette of an adorable bear, creating a unique shape.
Address: No. 600 Moganshan Road, Putuo District.

Shanghai IFC Mall
In celebration of the Year of the Snake in 2025, Shanghai IFC Mall takes inspiration from the Chinese knot, which resembles the graceful movements of a snake. The mall is adorned with Chinese knot elements symbolizing good luck and prosperity, featuring a magnificent Chinese knot art sculpture called "Hongyunjiecai", created in collaboration with renowned Chinese knot artist Chen Xiasheng. Additionally, traditional Chinese knot artworks are also on display.
The courtyard is adorned with vibrant red lanterns and Chinese knot decorations, surrounded by blossoming peach flowers, creating a festive atmosphere.
On both sides of the courtyard stand the exquisite "Hongyunjiecai" art sculptures, skillfully combining the winding and agile movements of a snake with the intricate art of Chinese knotting.
Address: No. 8 Century Avenue, Pudong New Area.

Suhewan Wonders World
For a full two months, Suhewan Wonders World has activated its Eastern aesthetic mode, becoming a must-visit spot during the end-of-year holiday season. The winding Suzhou River weaves through the wonders of the world, creating a natural and artistic representation of the Chinese knotting art.
Inspired by the traditional Chinese knot known as the "Ruyi Ice Flower Knot," these art installations cleverly connect multiple spaces, making it a perfect spot for taking photos.
Address: 100 Fujian North Road, Jing'an District.
