Shanghai Conference Ambassador Programme was initiated by the Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration
2007-04-28

In April, 2006, the Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration appointed 7 Shanghai Conference Ambassadors from different fields, to whom Mr. Yao Baoming, Vice Secretary General of the Shanghai Municipal People`s Government presented the certificates. During the 11th Five-year Plan period, a total number of 50 experts and leading figures in their respective circles will be appointed as Shanghai Conference Ambassadors.

From this month, professionals and industry specialists from Shanghai`s key sectors will be able to join a formalised programme aimed at rewarding and recognising as well as galvanising the competencies of "ambassadors" who represent Shanghai in bidding for international conferences.
